Test Exam on Cost Controlling and Earned Value Analysis / Management (EVA/EVM)
Sample questions on project cost controlling, sample questions on project cost forecasting, background and explanations, more test exams, exam preparation – introduction.
Note that the original questions of the PMP® exam are “top-secret”. Thus, you will not find any test exams or sample questions identical to current or previous exam questions – neither on this site nor anywhere else on the internet. However, the below quizzes have been created with typical PMI exam questions in mind.
There is also no fixed minimum score that you need to pass your exam. In fact, PMI weighs the complexity of questions and computes a pass-or-fail decision within a secret Blackbox (read the official PMI exam guidance for more information). However, various sources suggest that the ‘pass’ threshold was likely somewhere between 65% and 75% correct answers (but not all questions count).
While this makes a tactical exam preparation rather difficult (purposely), solid expertise in the different knowledge areas of the PMBOK(R) Guide is key to passing the exam. As a rule of thumb, you should score at least >80% in sample questions and test exams to have a good chance of passing the real exam. Some areas are ‘quick wins’, e.g. project cost controlling and earned value analysis. It is almost certain that your exam will contain a few questions on that topic. On the other hand, you will only need to memorize a few not too complex formulas and understand the entire concept to answer them correctly.
Take these test exams, follow up on your gaps and you will significantly increase the probability of passing the exam in these areas.
