Foreword by Steve Huston Steve Huston was born and raised in Alaska, but   he   works and lives in Belgrade, Montana, USA. After graduating from Pasadena's Art Center College of Design he embarked on a career as an illustrator. His clients included Caesar's Palace, MGM, Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios. After nearly a decade of doing commercial work, he decided to teach and coach — first at his alma mater,   and then at   Disney, Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, and several other studios.

Patrick J. Jones is an award-winning sci-fi and fantasy artist and teacher. His work is collected and published worldwide, and his client list includes companies such as Disney, Lucasfilm and Roc books. Patrick grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during the worst of the “troubles”. Influenced by artists Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta, he spent long days in the sanctuary of rooftops, drawing and dreaming of becoming a fantasy artist, to the din of street riots below. After two years in the merchant navy he moved to London and spent 15 years as an illustrator before travelling the world once more. Today, Patrick lives and works in Australia. When he's not painting he teaches art at universities in the city of Brisbane, where he now lives with his wife Cathy and their two scruffy dogs.

PATRICK J. JONES is an award-winning sci-fi and fantasy artist and teacher. His work is collected and published worldwide, and his client list includes such companies as Disney, Lucasfilm and Roc books. Patrick grew up in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland, during the worst years of the violent 30-year conflict known as "the Troubles". Influenced by artists Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta, he spent his days in the sanctuary of rooftops, drawing and dreaming of becoming a fantasy artist, to the din of street riots below. Patrick later spent two years in the merchant navy, after which he moved to London and worked as an illustrator for 15 years before travelling the world once more. Today, Patrick is settled in Brisbane, Australia, where he lives with his wife Cathy and their two scruffy dogs. When he's not painting he teaches art at two universities in the city.
