My Dream Business Essay

The Inspiration

The inspiration for my business comes from my love of fashion and my concern for the environment. I have been a fashion enthusiast from a young age, but as I grew older, I became aware of the negative impacts of the industry on the environment. This realization sparked the idea of combining my passion for fashion with my desire to contribute to environmental sustainability.

Business Concept

My dream business would focus on creating high-quality, durable, and fashionable items using environmentally friendly materials and production methods. The goal is to create a line of clothing that not only looks good, but also feels good to wear, knowing that it’s made ethically and sustainably.

Production & Sourcing

Sourcing materials and production processes are critical components of my dream business. The aim is to source materials that are organic, recycled, or sustainably grown, and to work with manufacturers who adhere to ethical labor standards. Transparency about where and how the products are made would be a key selling point for my brand.

Marketing Strategy

The marketing strategy would focus on educating customers about the value of sustainable fashion and the impact of their purchasing decisions on the environment. Through various marketing channels, we would aim to create a community of conscious consumers who appreciate the ethos of the brand.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the main challenges of starting a sustainable fashion brand is the high costs associated with ethical and sustainable production. To overcome this, my business plan includes a strategy to start small, perhaps with a limited range of products, and gradually scale as the brand gains traction.

In conclusion, my dream business is a sustainable fashion brand that combines style with ethics and sustainability. It’s not just about selling clothes, but about creating a movement towards mindful consumption and contributing to a more sustainable fashion industry. I am ready to face the challenges and work tirelessly to turn this dream into reality.

My dream Business Restaurant Essay

My dream business is to open a unique restaurant that serves healthy, locally-sourced cuisine, housed in a space that promotes community and creativity. In a world where fast food chains are prevalent, I am motivated to create a dining experience that values nutritional quality, sustainable farming practices, and fosters social connections.

My passion for gastronomy and sustainable living inspires this dream business. Growing up in a family that values both good food and the environment, I have always been encouraged to consider the impact of my food choices. Seeing the need for more sustainable dining options, I envision a restaurant that serves delicious, nutritious meals that also contribute positively to the environment and the local community.

The concept of my restaurant revolves around serving dishes made from locally-sourced, organic ingredients. The menu will be seasonal, taking advantage of the freshest produce available and reducing the carbon footprint associated with long-distance transportation of food items. The restaurant will also feature an open kitchen design, promoting transparency and interaction between chefs and diners.

Location & Aesthetics

The choice of location and aesthetics is essential to my dream restaurant. I envision it located in a vibrant neighborhood, easily accessible to residents and visitors alike. The restaurant’s aesthetics will embody a blend of modern and rustic elements, creating an atmosphere that is comfortable, inviting, and encourages communication and connection among diners.

My marketing strategy will revolve around promoting the restaurant’s commitment to health, taste, and sustainability. This will be communicated through various channels such as social media, local events, and partnerships with other businesses that share similar values. The ultimate aim is to attract a loyal customer base who value the quality and ethical standards of the food they eat.

Starting a restaurant requires a significant investment, careful planning, and management. A key challenge is sourcing high-quality, local ingredients at competitive prices. To address this, I plan to establish strong relationships with local farmers and suppliers, ensuring a steady supply of fresh produce while supporting local businesses.

In conclusion, my dream business is a restaurant that promotes healthy eating, sustainability, and community connection. It’s not just about providing a dining experience, but also about educating people about the benefits of sustainable eating and offering a platform for local farmers. Although starting such a business presents numerous challenges, I believe that with careful planning and unwavering commitment, it is possible to turn this dream into a reality.

A dream business is an idea that lives in your mind as the perfect job you wish to have one day. It is like a seed that, when planted, can grow into something big and beautiful. For some, this could be opening a small bakery that smells like fresh bread every morning. For others, it might be starting a company that makes video games. Learning and Growing

Before your dream business can open its doors, there is a lot to learn. You might need to study how to manage money, attract customers, and even how to create a website. It’s like going on a treasure hunt, where each skill you learn is a piece of treasure that makes your business stronger. Sometimes, you might make mistakes, but that’s okay because making mistakes is part of learning.

Money Matters

To make your dream business come to life, you need money. This money is used to buy things like materials, pay for a place to work, and advertise what you are selling. Introduction:

My dream to become a Soldier started on an Army Day (January 15th), when I was still in High School. I witnessed the tribute paid to martyred soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in India Gate. It was followed by parades displaying Tanks, Missiles, and War Helicopters etc. The impression I received that day motivates me to realise my dream to become a Soldier.

Love of a Soldier:

The history of Indian independence and the life of freedom fighters has always fascinated me. Those who were responsible for the air of freedom we breathe today, loved our motherland and dedicated their lives to its well-being. These seeds in me have developed a sense of love for the country. It has also nurtured my dream to become a soldier and safeguard it.

Spirit of a Soldier:

Apart from academics, I started to collect all details about how to realise my dream to become a Soldier. I began to understand the values that inspire a Soldier to willingly face challenges and responsibly safeguard the nation even at the cost of his own life. This inspired me to study well and keep myself fit to achieve my dream to become a Soldier.

Training of a Soldier:

I also understood about the training before service. The feeling of pride and mutual loyalty is imbibed among the trainees. They are also trained to willing sacrifice for the country’s honour, with a do or die spirit. A sense of fearlessness, fairness and honesty are inculcated during the disciplined training. These components further kindled my dream to become a Soldier.

Lifestyle of a Soldier:

On the one hand, the soldier’s life is a life of self-sacrifice. On the other hand, the lifestyle it offers far exceeds my expectation, and fuels my dream to become a Soldier. Opportunities to advance in ranks, paid study holidays, subsidized housing, free medical coverage and recreational facilities are provided, apart from regular salary and perks. Lifelong pension is awarded after retirement.

Conclusion:

Many young people in the country offer the time of their life to work for big Corporates. But, I am here to pursue my dream to become a Soldier and dedicate my life to the welfare of the nation. I often encourage my friends to follow my dream to become a Soldier, at least for a short service tenure ranging from 10 to 14 years.

At a very early age, my dream was to do something big in life. But along with that I still had some fears also. I want to have a successful career, and for this, I had set an aim. It is quite essential for everybody to get them to establish professionally and successfully. Besides this, few other dreams are also necessary for me like health, relationships, and many different aspects of life. However, I also fear to get fail in achieving all these targets.

Career Dream and Fear:

When I was a kid, my dream was to become a doctor. But during my growing age, the Bollywood industry fascinated me and then my dream of becoming doctor changed to an actor. When I passed my class 12 th , the only goal that hit my mind was becoming an engineer. I always fear of dreaming about big things, but if you have potential then, you can achieve anything in life.

Dream and Fear of Health and Fitness:

When I was young, I was not so much concerned about my health. But now I realized the importance of having good health. My dream of becoming fit and healthy was only achieved due to strong willpower and eagerness of doing regular exercise. With this thought, I managed to lose around 15 kg easily. Now, I don’t fear about eating any food as I compensate that with my daily workout.

Dreams and fear about the relationship:

There is a special place of relationships in my life, and sometimes I fear about losing the important people in my life. But, now I realize that instead of thinking negative, we should try to spend more time with the people. It is as essential as my dream of good career.

Thinking only about the career and success with the little amount of fear might not offer you complete happiness later. It is good to become serious about your career, but you should also try to overcome any fear for a more successful life ahead.

Life is a dynamic process that has its ups and downs. Juggling the disparities of life can be very stressful at times and that is why you get your mind wondering in thoughts. Most thoughts are usually based on what people desire, which we call the dream life. The desires in life may not always be achieved but it is good to have a picture or at least an idea of the kind of life on desires to have. In America, people have the American dream but you as an individual should ask yourself; what is your dream life?

How my dream life looks like:

Socially, I have always imagined myself being a very influential person in my society. Currently in school, I always have the urge to influence someone but I still lack the confidence and resources to do so. I have always wanted to travel the world and explore different cultures of the world through interactions with people. I also imagine of having a great family with whom I can travel the world with.

Career-wise, I want to work at the comfort of my own home and be flexible so that I can always have time for my family. Spiritually, I have a desire to always be in good terms with God and follow the doctrines of my religion.

Economically, I want to be self-actualized at an early age so that I can focus on my influential personality, having all the resources I need. I want to be satisfied with what I will have achieved and work on living a happy life.

How I plan on living my dream life?

Living the dream life can begin any time that you chose to be as an individual. For my dream life, the things that I can achieve while still at school is the ability to have a spiritual wellness and flowing the doctrines of my religion. I can also start learning to appreciate whatever I have and living a happy life.

For the desires that I cannot achieve at the moment, I will work towards achieving them by shaping and redirecting the pathway. For example, my career, I will pursue something in the university that will allow me to work from home without necessarily going to work.

A dream life is basically the desired of one’s heart inform of an imagination. A dream life does not affect the reality in any way.

A dream is something that helps you to mold your future and aim your life to an appropriate goal. Dreaming big will help us to work for it harder and finally achieve it. Without desire and aim in life, we cannot focus and work hard to fulfill our dream.

My Dream to become a Doctor:

The biggest dream of my life is to become a doctor. I have seen many doctors, who save other people’s lives and they feel happy in the satisfaction they get through this activity. I want to be a doctor, who will serve good for this society and help poor to get good medical care without expecting big money in return.

Doctors are respected in all places and among all types of society. In spite of being different in many things like wealth, religion, etc., everyone will be in need of the best doctor to treat them honestly. I dream of being one such doctor to whom anyone can come without any doubt and fear of being tricked.

I don’t want to be a doctor who just works for money. I want to help others who can’t afford big budget treatments and choose their fate due to their lack of money. When a person is cured of their illness, the smile that appears on their face will be the greatest reward I will ever get. My dream is to become a doctor, who is praised for the kindness and get rewards through others blessings.

How to become a Doctor?

To get the admissions in a medical seat is not that easy. But I will work hard and crack the competitive exam to get a merit seat in the college. I will work hard from the beginning to end to improve my knowledge and keep updated about every upcoming and ongoing development.

I would like to choose the specialization when I can actually decide which one will suit my desire. I have an aim to serve the people in their needs and once I grow big enough to decide the correct career to fulfill my dream, I will work harder to achieve that as well.

After achieving My Dream:

Once I complete my whole medical courses I would be looking to practice in a well-reputed hospital to perfect my job. With this perfection I will start my own clinic and serve people for the rest of my life along with this I will help other students also to get trained to become a good doctor. I will make sure that my dream will come true at the best time.

We all have some sort of ambition or dream. My dream is to become a world class chef. Dreams play a very important role in moulding our future. There is a saying that “if you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it”. This saying implies that if you can work hard and put in your best to achieving your dream, it is very possible to live your dream. Working hard to achieve ones dream is easier said than done but if you put in your best effort and never give up, dreams are achievable.

In the path of achieving my dream, it is important that I take one step at a time. Even if I have a very big dream of becoming a word class chef, it is best for me to take steady and small steps by setting both long term and short term goals, by doing this, I am always working towards achieving my dream. When I take one step at a time, it helps not to rush into decisions and take things easy.

I know becoming a world class chef is not very easy and can only happen if complete and proper training from a very reputable institute and there isn’t much I can do at the moment to speed up the realisation of my dream since I am still in school. However, I still do my best to set my dream rolling, I follow a lot of cooking websites and blogs, watch cooking shows, read culinary books and I practice my cooking to sharpen my skills every time. These are all little steps I am taking towards achieving my dream. Though my goal is to become a world class chef, I have small goals in place for each month and year to come so that I can reach my dream.

A major hindrance to achieving my set goals and my dream is the lack of inadequacy of motivation. A lot of people have given up their goals and dreams just because they got tired on the way. It is extremely important to remain motivated and only stop is when the dream has been achieved. Highlighted below are some useful tips that I have used to keep myself motivated on the journey to reaching my dream:

i. Anytime I see that I am running out of drive and energy and I am becoming too tired to stick to my set goals, I try to remind myself of what my dream is and the feeling of pride and joy I will experience when I achieve it and become a world class chef. It feels like pressing a reset button and starting with a refreshed mind again and working harder towards achieving my dream.

ii. Long term goals and short term goals are set towards the ultimate goal of achieving my dream and as I reach these short term goals, I try to reward myself for my achievement. The reward can vary from eating dinner at my favourite restaurant or buying myself a new phone I wanted or going out with my friends. Rewarding myself is a very good way to remain motivated towards the achievements of my goals and ultimately my dream.

iii. When I work too much and have no time to relax and play, my productivity drops and I become dull. Therefore, it is a good idea to have some time for myself away from work to focus on something fun that I love. I find time in my schedule every day to engage in some form of leisure activity or sport.

iv. Having people who believes in my dream and support my goals around me makes all the difference. Having positive people helps me find the strength and courage to push on and not give up on my dream. They motivate me to work hard and do the best to achieve my goals and my dream.

v. A mistake is nothing more than an experience and an opportunity to try again and do things much better. So, instead of getting heartbroken and disheartened to the point of wanting to give up on my goals and dream when I face a tough time or make mistakes, I learn from the mistakes and move on as the tough times and mistakes make me a lot stronger.

I will keep working hard towards achieving my dream and I believe that I will become a world class chef one day.

Who in this world does not have a dream? A dream to buy a car, a dream to be a scientist, a dream to do something for the society, or just a dream to live a life with contentment. Something or the other, but surely every person has a dream. It is this dream that drives you to work hard, achieve your milestones and ride towards success in your life. Success need not be becoming the wealthiest person on the earth. Achieving even your smallest dream can be a huge success for you. Since childhood, you come across various fields which often you think of as your ultimate targets. However, most of them are just fantasies and fade away with time. Still, there are some things which just stick on to your minds and these very things eventually go on to be your dreams.

My Dream – My Passion:

Like others, even I have a dream. My dream is to join the intelligence unit of the country and serve my country with pride. Usually, in order to serve the country, people think of joining the armed forces. However, I have a different point of view. I dream to join the intelligence unit and provide inputs to these armed forces so that they can protect the country in a good way and not many lives are lost fight battles with our neighbours.

Where did it all start?

Since my childhood, I have been fascinated by the role of intelligence and the methods of work they are used to. I had got a chance to be with a couple of people early in my life who were in the same field and it is from here that I got so much stuck up with this profession that I have dreamt day and night to be a part of this elite team. Moreover, I feel that I have it in me to research about things as well as people and am known in my circles to extract information from nowhere. I feel that this talent of mine can prove helpful for the country as well. Intelligence plays a crucial role in the security establishment of the country. The inputs gathered from intelligence units help the government and the forces to plan their steps both at diplomatic and at the level of securing the borders.

Another thing which excites me about this dream is that it is not a conventional field such as common occupations which are sought after by most of the youth of our country. Another very important thing to mention here that you need not formally join the intelligence to realise this dream. By keeping a check on your surroundings and providing proper information to the police in case you notice an unfavourable incident is also a form of your contribution to the security agencies of the country. If everyone remains active, a lot many incidents such as terrorist attacks can be averted.

Why having a dream is so important?

Dreams are very important for everyone. Without dreams, there will be no desire to pursue. There will be no objective to reach. We will all be nothing without dreams. Not having dreams resembles pursuing a traceless homicide. It resembles following an undetectable shadow. It is a loathsome goose pursue. We should comprehend what we need to do and pursue that desire.

A great many people have dreams. Successful ones or little ones. Indeed, even the best individuals had dreams and that is the thing that has made them what they are today. Envisioning is basic for a person. Without dreams, you will lose enthusiasm forever lastly prefer not to live. You will be exhausted and tired of the equivalent dull schedules of your everyday life and won’t discover an enthusiasm for the most energizing things. Just with dreams, will you discover a reason to carry on with your life? You will begin buckling down towards the fantasy and will never lose enthusiasm forever. You will never tire and dependably be spurred. This is the most ideal approach to end up effective. So, dream and dream big. It is the only way to achieve contentment in life.

Be that as it may, with dreams, comes extraordinary duty. It is not just sufficient to dream and disregard that fantasy. Numerous individuals dream, however just some wake up and work for it.

It is basic to buckle down for your fantasies. Without this diligent work, a fantasy will just remain a craving in the subliminal personality and will never be accomplished.

On the off chance that you don’t have a fantasy, you can never appreciate the extravagances of life or all that life brings to the table. You will never feel that delighted sentiment of accomplishment. You will never get pride in what you do and what you have accomplished. Every one of these things is vital for people and without these emotions, there is no inspiration.

In the event that you don’t have inspiration, you will be a disappointment throughout everyday life. You won’t have the capacity to accomplish those objectives and will have a hopeless existence. You will never appreciate the extravagances of life and you will never feel glad. You will be a disappointment and you will be nothing throughout everyday life. We should go that additional mile to achieve our objectives. Disappointments may come, however a state of mind to continue proceeding onward and attempting to enhance is completely accomplished by dreams. Dreams are the fuel that continues invigorating you to go further. Regardless of whether there are numerous snags throughout everyday life, you will, in general, continue moving further and attempting to be superior to anything your identity. Consistent and endless enhancement is extremely imperative in advancing throughout everyday life. It improves your identity and furthermore whatever you need to advance in. It causes you to gain from your missteps

Only having career objectives and succeeding professionally can disregard you after one point throughout everyday life. Work as constantly to accomplish these as you do to understand your ultimate dreams. Having a dream is not important. What is important is striving continuously to achieving it. The sense of satisfaction you acquire once you have attained your goals cannot be explained in words and has no alternative in life. So, strive hard and live your dreams. Who knows, what is there in store for you?

In my opinion, it is evident that there is an excellent opportunity to become successful in the restaurant business, and I believe my dream franchise would cover all the needs. Thesis Statement: State your central argument and position.

Body Paragraphs

Firstly, I want to open a restaurant with the $1 million funding because I am disappointed wherever I eat outside. The most important concern of mine is that there are no restaurants suitable for everybody. Topic Sentence: This sentence explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. Each has its own branch; for example, one is for fast food, others are fine dining places. I do not see a place around me that fits everyone. Example: Set examples or give proofs after the topic sentence so your audience can realize the issue in their minds. I think it can be done in a single franchise by separating these sections. It would create a comfort zone and a decent living place where people would feel cozy. Concluding sentence: Offer solutions or present your thoughts about the issue on the last sentence of the body paragraphs.

I worked at a coffee shop for about a year in the past, it is not directly a restaurant business, but I believe the practices are significantly similar as both of them serve people food and drinks. There were a lot of problems regarding customer happiness because of the owner of the place. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. It was strictly profit-oriented business instead of making people happy. I understand the very aim of opening a restaurant is driving revenue, but I also think the profit comes from your customers, and it is crucial to make them happy, steady, and loyal customers. I believe my dream restaurant would solve this problem by making the customers our priority.

Also, as I mentioned above, my restaurant would be different from others in its versatility. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. It would have separate sections for all people, whether they want a romantic dinner or get something to eat in their one-hour break. I believe this would also increase our income by expanding our customer profile.

Our mission is to put our customers always first. Also, we would cover the needs of a broad selection of people. There would be different floors of my restaurant to create an overall experience for our customers collectively. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. The first floor would be our fine dining place to provide people with high-end meals in an extraordinary setting. The cost of the meals in the delicate dining area would be our driving force in finance. I believe charging for a great experience is not necessarily a negative practice. In addition, it would create a profit gap for us to provide low-priced food in our other sections.

The second floor would be our bar section, where people can get something to drink without a giant restaurant setting. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. They can relax and chat with their friends in a place which is decorated as a standard bar, instead of feeling inside a restaurant. I see that many restaurants offer alcoholic drinks already, but it is not practically a bar. Often people feel like dining instead of hanging out with their friends. Therefore, I believe this setup would provide the desired experience.

The third and last part of our mission is to serve people with low income. This would be the place on the backside of our restaurant, and it would serve fast food. Also, it would be a great drunk food aisle for our bar customers. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. I believe this three-floor building would provide people with everything they need to socialize. Therefore, the mission of serving the public would be possible. I would be covering cities around the world with the same design when it comes to our vision. The ultimate goal of this business idea is to be an international restaurant. If we can achieve this in most parts of the world, I believe we would be the most significant stakeholder in the restaurant business, especially in small cities. Of course, this cannot be done in the first year of business, even with a $1 million investment. The one year I worked in the coffee shop taught me that you should keep some money aside for unexpected things. COVID-19 is an excellent example as all businesses lost profit, some are even closed. Therefore, the first-year goals would be: Creating the fine dining area to drive revenue with low-cost, high-profit sales, hiring three waiters and one sous-chef to save budget, earning %5 of the investment back.

I believe that in the first year of the business we should not expect significant profit, we should be more concerned with taking our time to perfect the first stage of the restaurant and create a brand awareness. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. Five years after, we would aim to keep a steady revenue. I believe in the fifth year, we would already start the three-floor formation and be ready to start brand image advertisements. Therefore, our goals would be much different and future-oriented. These would be; Having a monthly recurring revenue of at least $50.000, hiring the best marketing managers for spotting opportunities around the world, setting up a franchising system for entrepreneurs worldwide.

After the first ten years, I believe we would be one of the most successful national restaurants and create a brand equity and recognition. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. For this reason, the next step would become an international business. This is not an easy task, and I would happily leave that goal to professionals. Thus, tenth-year goals would be; Having ten franchises outside of the country, improving brand popularity and creating brand image by giving advertisements on the most known channels, hiring general managers around the world to properly manage our local branches, developing our relations with different states for tax benefits.

When it comes to our organizational culture, the hierarchy would be strict. As the only founder, I would have access and supervision over every decision made on every restaurant franchise. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. After myself, general managers of each country would be responsible for the maintenance of local restaurants. In addition, the sous-chefs of different branches would be granted complete control of their restaurants. I would provide internal mobile app for each branch for improved communication. In my opinion, spreading updates and current information to the employees about our business is crucial.

In terms of formality, it would be best to create a friendly working environment. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. Thus, a semi-formal workflair would be great for this business. I would also let my employees know that I am here for them by creating work benefits such as free access to certain facilities provided by the company.

Lastly, we would have a precise employee handbook about our priorities. This handbook aims to give a clear understanding of the company to the workers. Topic sentence: This sentence once again explains the central argument of this paragraph by giving some information about the specific subject. The first priority is customer service; it is essential to deliver our customers a great experience. Secondly, aside from being a semi-formal working environment, the workers should be careful of the existing hierarchy. Finally, for protecting the personal data, we believe what we get from our customers is incredibly important as they are sensitive information. It would be strictly forbidden for employees to use any information about the customers, such as their names or phone numbers.

After all, I believe this dream business would become an independent company. Its goals are precise and achievable. Key point: Start your conclusion with a striking sentence that will stay with the audience. It is vital to have a realistic roadmap, and this outline is possible if we do it properly. In my opinion, our mission and vision are innovative. Therefore, it would not take too long to succeed in this business. As I mentioned above, there is an excellent gap in the restaurant industry, and this idea would cover much of its requirements. Summary: Restate some of the points you made in the essay, but keep it short with only the most important information. In my view, there is a significant potential to succeed in the restaurant industry, and I am confident that my ideal business would be innovative. Concluding sentence: Present your thesis statement again as a concluding sentence, make sure not to use the exact wording with the introduction.

My Entrepreneurial Dream Came True and Yours Can Too An inspirational story to inspire you to take action and make your own entrepreneurial dream come true.

By Tim Denning Edited by Dan Bova Nov 25, 2016

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

Over the last 12 months, I have done a lot of soul-searching. I've spent hours trying to uncover my ultimate dream and discover my vehicle for adding value to the world. Before this journey, I was afraid of what the answer might be… I knowingly had to come to terms with some difficult truths. I just returned from San Francisco where I met a very famous man. Booking the meeting was a nightmare and frankly, I thought it would never happen. The dangerous part was that I had no agenda. I rolled up at his office to take up his precious time, and we had literally nothing to talk about.

While it may have been a stupid strategy, it was one of the best meetings of my life. All I did was share a business idea that my friend and I had been discussing. To my surprise, he loved it and wanted to get involved. For the next 10 minutes, he rattled off a bunch of famous people's names and offered to introduce me to every one of them. The excitement was uncontrollable, and I had to remain calm. What do you do when everything goes your way, and you didn't expect it? Say thank you and start taking action.

The deal is by no means done, and there is going to be months of hard work ahead. The hard work is fine though when you have a phenomenal outcome to look forward to. What's even crazier is that the idea I pitched goes back to my musical roots. I thought music was dead to me, but it turns out that all of those years were not wasted after all. There was somehow this hidden plan for me, and it involved music, just not in the musician sense.

Here are the seven ways to make your dream come true:

1. Realize it's all about networking.

The formula is very basic: the more people you meet that are relevant to your dream, the closer you will get to achieving your dream. Being in the right room though is not enough. You'll need to be gutsy and go and speak to them. What I haven't told you so far is that I had to spend time in hundreds of rooms, with the wrong people, before I found the right people. Do you have that kind of patience young padawan?

2. Be relentless in your pursuit.

There will be days when it seems like you are a million miles away from your dream. You probably are too. Don't let this destructive concept ruin your plans though. Unless you are prepared to keep on trying and never give up, you will fail. Miserably. To get in the right room, with the right person, took me over one year of trying to contact them. Every method I tried failed. Everyone who promised to introduce me to them didn't. Eventually, some outlier in the middle of nowhere made a promise and delivered for once. It's rare, but it does happen if you're relentless.

3. Get focused.

What's killing your success right now is the notification center on your phone. Every app you have wants to notify you of something so that they can get your attention and monetize. Your focus is now these software companies currency. Throw the phone on your bed, shut the door and get the hell away from it. There are some long hours required to achieve your dream. You'll need to do some deep thinking. You'll need to become a strategist like the general of an army about to go to war. Your dream is war.

Almost everything you do from when you make the decision to pursue your dream is about being focused on one thing. Everything else on your list needs to go in the bin. The smallest change in language that you use to describe your dream could make all the difference.

4. Throw out all the waste in your life.

There is wasted space in your closet. There is wasted space on your phone's contact list. There are people right now thinking about contacting you so they can waste your time. Dreams are achieved when a minimalist approach is taken. The only way I got even close to my dream was by reducing all the wastage. By wastage, I mean the people who made me feel sad… the possessions that took my time and money… the money I thought I had to make to be successful that I didn't need.

5. Get excited about something.

Attracting all the right things to your dream comes through excitement. When you show you are bloody happy about your dream and let your passion shine through, people and things flood in like a disaster recovery effort after a hurricane. My pitch to the man in Silicon Valley had nothing to do with the idea. In fact, if you email me, I'll give it all to you for free. Ideas are worthless. What got him excited was the enthusiasm I had for what I was doing which for some reason makes people write big checks. When you break it down, he just wanted to bag some of that excitement for himself. Why wouldn't he, I mean it feels so damn good. You need to get to a place with your dream where you can give out some of those bags of excitement for yourself. That's how your dream will come true.

6. Do something seriously whacko.

I've found that when you do something seriously whacko you force yourself out of your comfort zone. Your comfort zone is what's sabotaging your success. What did I do? I signed up for kite surfing lessons. Why? I have no freaking idea whatsoever.

I don't even know if I'll like it. The offer was made to me and instead of thinking it over like I normally do, I just said yes. The reason was that it felt right. It felt like a new opportunity. It was breaking the pattern and that's how you get closer to achieving your dream.

7. Don't try and have all the answers.

Humans are obsessed with knowing everything in advance. I'm the worst offender of this myth. I always want to know the answer to everything in advance. It's a kind of OCD if you can call it that (I'm no psychologist). There are plenty of unrelated experiences that will happen in your life and you'll have no idea why. All I can say is that these experiences will somehow link to your dream at some point and you will realize they were required. Take my music examples listed above as a good demonstration.

Lose the obsession to plan every aspect of your dream and focus on taking action and trying new things. The answers will become available at the right time as long as you commit to taking the action. It's been a long time between drinks for me, but success is coming. I hope the same can happen for you too.

So You Want to Be an Entrepreneur?

my dream business essay

Summary .

Starting a business is not easy, and scaling it is even harder. You may think you’re sitting on a completely original idea, but chances are the same cultural forces that led you to your business plan are also influencing someone else. That doesn’t mean you should give up, or that you should rush to market before you’re ready. It’s not about who’s first, it’s about who does it best, and best these days is the business that delivers the most value to the consumer. Consumers have more power and choice than ever before, and they’re going to choose and stick with the companies who are clearly on their side. How will you make their lives easier, more pleasant, more meaningful? How will you go out of your way for them at every turn? When considering your competitive advantage, start with the needs of the people you’re ultimately there to serve. If you have a genuine connection to your idea, and you’re solving a real problem in a way that adds more value to people’s lives, you’re well on your way.

When I graduated from college in 2001, I didn’t have a single friend whose plan was to start his or her own business. Med school, law school, finance, consulting: these were the coveted jobs, the clear paths laid out before us. I took a job in advertising, which was seen as much more rebellious than the reality. I worked in advertising for a few years, and learned an incredible amount about how brands get built and communicated. But I grew restless and bored, tasked with coming up with new campaigns for old and broken products that lacked relevance, unable to influence the products themselves. During that time, I was lucky to have an amazing boss who explained a simple principle that fundamentally altered my path. What she told me was that stress is not about how much you have on your plate; it’s about how much control you have over the outcomes. Suddenly I realized why every Sunday night I was overcome with a feeling of dread. It wasn’t because I had too much going on at work. It was because I had too little power to effect change.

My Dream Of Becoming A Business Owner

From a young age, I've harbored a steadfast dream of becoming a business owner. This aspiration is not merely a fleeting desire but a deeply ingrained passion that has guided my decisions and actions. The allure of entrepreneurship lies in its promise of autonomy, creativity, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the world around me. As I navigate through life, I am constantly fueled by the vision of building something from the ground up, of charting my own course, and of leaving a legacy that extends beyond my lifetime.

Beyond personal fulfillment, my dream of becoming a business owner is rooted in a desire to make a positive impact on society. I believe that businesses have a responsibility to not only generate profits but also to contribute to the greater good. Whether it's creating job opportunities, supporting local communities, or championing environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship provides a platform to effect change and leave a lasting legacy. By building a successful business, I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams, foster economic growth, and leave the world a better place than I found it.

In conclusion, my dream of becoming a business owner is driven by a combination of factors: the desire for freedom and independence, the passion for creativity and innovation, and the commitment to making a positive impact on society. Has Dr. Martin Luther King's Dream Become Reality?

Has Dr. Martin Luther King's Dream Become a Reality? Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of equality and justice for all has been a source of inspiration for generations. His powerful speeches and tireless efforts in the civil rights movement have left an indelible mark on American history. But has his dream truly become a reality? In this essay, we will explore the progress made in achieving Dr. King's dream and the challenges that still remain. Over the years, significant strides have been made towards realizing Dr. King's dream. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were major milestones in dismantling legally sanctioned segregation and discrimination. These legislative victories marked a turning point in the fight for equality, ensuring that all citizens had equal protection under the law and the right to vote. In addition to legal changes, there has been a gradual shift in societal attitudes towards racial equality. The election of Barack Obama as the first African American President of the United States in 2008 was a historic moment that symbolized the progress made in overcoming racial barriers. It demonstrated that Dr. King's dream of a colorblind society was not only possible but attainable. However, despite these advancements, it is clear that Dr. King's dream has not yet been fully realized. Inequalities still persist in various aspects of American society. Economic disparities between different racial and ethnic groups continue to be a prevalent issue. Studies have shown that African Americans and other minority groups face higher rates of poverty, limited access to quality education, and reduced opportunities for upward mobility. Moreover, systemic racism remains deeply ingrained in many institutions. Racial profiling, police brutality, and mass incarceration disproportionately affect people of color, particularly African Americans. These injustices highlight the ongoing struggle for racial equality and the need for continued activism and reform. To truly fulfill Dr. King's dream, it is essential to address these remaining challenges. This requires a collective effort from individuals, communities, and government institutions. Education plays a crucial role in dismantling prejudice and fostering understanding. By promoting diversity and inclusivity in schools and universities, we can create a more equitable society. Furthermore, it is vital to continue advocating for policies that address systemic racism and promote equal opportunities. This includes criminal justice reform, affordable housing initiatives, and job creation programs targeted at disadvantaged communities. By addressing the root causes of inequality, we can move closer to achieving Dr. King's vision of a just society. In conclusion, while progress has undeniably been made towards realizing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream, there is still work to be done. It is essential to acknowledge the advancements made and the positive changes that have taken place. However, it is equally important to recognize the remaining challenges and commit to ongoing efforts to combat systemic racism and inequality. By doing so, we can honor Dr. King's legacy and strive towards building a society where his dream truly becomes a reality....

Exploring My Dream in Depth

We all have dreams. Dreams of what we want to be, who we want to be with, where we want to go and what we want to do. They are our hopes and aspirations for the future. Sometimes our dreams change as we grow older and sometimes they stay the same. But what do our dreams mean? And why do we have them?

Dreams are a way for our subconscious mind to process information and sort through problems. They help us make sense of our lives and the world around us. Dreams can be a warning sign of something wrong in our lives or a sign that something good is about to happen. They can also be just a product of our imagination, or a way for us to escape from reality.

No matter what our dreams mean, they are an important part of who we are and how we view the world. So, don’t be afraid to explore your dreams in depth!

Different Perspectives on My Dream

There are many different perspectives on my dream. Some people believe that it is achievable, while others think it is nothing more than a pipe dream. I believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and work hard enough. Here are some different perspectives on my dream:

1) It is achievable:

Many people believe that my dream is achievable. They think that if I set my mind to it and work hard enough, I can achieve anything I want. This perspective motivates me to keep working towards my dream.

2) It is a pipe dream:

There are also people who believe that my dream is nothing more than a pipe dream. They think that I will never be able to achieve it no matter how hard I try. This perspective doesn’t discourage me though; it only makes me work harder to prove them wrong.

Benefits of Pursuing My Dream

There are many benefits of pursuing one’s dream. Dreams provide individuals with goals to strive for, and they give people something to look forward to. Pursuing a dream can also lead to a greater sense of satisfaction and meaning in life.

Individuals who pursue their dreams often find that they are happier and more fulfilled than those who do not. This is because chasing after a dream provides a sense of purpose and direction in life. It can also be a source of great pride and satisfaction when the goal is finally achieved.

In addition, pursuing a dream can help build character and strength of will. Overcoming the obstacles that stand in the way of achieving a goal can make people stronger and more resilient. It can also teach them valuable lessons about perseverance and grit.

Finally, pursuing a dream can create opportunities for personal growth and development. Working towards a goal often requires people to stretch themselves in new ways and learn new skills. This process of self-improvement can lead to increased confidence and satisfaction in all areas of life.

Challenges of Achieving My Dream

There are many challenges that I face in achieving my dream. The first challenge is finding the right path to take. There are many different paths that I could take and it can be hard to decide which one is the right one for me. The second challenge is staying motivated. It can be easy to give up on my dream when things get tough or when I face setbacks. But I know that if I keep working hard and stay focused, I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

Strategies for Overcoming Obstacles

If you have a dream, it is important to have strategies for overcoming obstacles that may stand in your way. Here are some tips:

1. Believe in yourself. This is the first and most important step. If you don’t believe that you can achieve your dream, you never will.

3. Be prepared to work hard. Pursuing a dream takes dedication and hard work. Be prepared to put in the time and effort required to make your dream a reality.

4. Stay positive and don’t give up. There will be setbacks along the way, but it’s important to maintain a positive attitude and not give up on your dream.

Essay on My Dream to Become a Doctor in 400 Words

At the early stage of life, everyone gets a dream to achieve in their life. But everyone can’t go to the goal. But still, people are aiming for their dreams and working for it. Why should you have a dream? Because it will keep you on track when you are looking for success.

A specific aim is the most important thing to become a successful person. May all of your dreams won’t come true, but still, you shouldn’t stop or never stop dreaming. Here I am talking about my dream to become a doctor.

How to Become a Doctor?

To become a doctor in my country, someone needs to get himself admitted into a medical college after passing the 12th. And then there is an MBBS course lasting for six years. That’s the process. And then some go for higher education and some start working in different places.

But it’s very tough and challenging to take admission in medical colleges. There is a huge competition. Thousands of students participate in the admission test. But the seats are only a few. But I’m confident enough that I will make it.

A student must have a science background in school and college to get a chance in a medical institute. The grade should be higher. And finally, he needs to be good at Biology.

My preparation is pretty solid. Right now I’m studying as science is my topic. And I’m good in Biology. I hope that I will make a good result in my 10th and 12th. Both of my results will help me to get a chance in a medical college.

I know it won’t be easy at all, but I am very confident. I’m an attentive student and I follow a strict daily routine for me. This routine helps me to schedule everything properly.

What Will I Do After Being a Doctor?

After completing the medical degree I have a plan to serve the people of my village. People of my village are not rich. They can’t afford better treatment.

And they face lots of fatal diseases. But there is no doctor to help them. I will be there to help my village people. I will try to make a small hospital there.

My dream to become a doctor is an honest plan. I want to help and serve the people. I love to be with people always. That’s what my aim is. I hope that I will be able to make my dream real.

Essay on My Dream in Life (500 Words)

Essay on My Dream in Life (500 Words)

Everyone has got a dream in their life. Dreams and desires help us to get success. When you have a specific dream and you are focused only on that thing then you have a higher chance to get success in life.

Because you can focus and can be dedicated to a specific thing at the right time. That’s why getting an aim or dream is important. I have got a dream to become an engineer. Today I will talk about my dream here. I hope you will love it.

My Dream to Become an Engineer:

When I was a kid reading in grade 2, my dad bought me a computer. The main reason was playing computer games. I was very passionate about video games. I wondered how people make these games. And I always wanted to learn more about this.

When I grew up, I learned that computer engineers develop these games. And right on that moment, I fixed my aim to become a game developer. To be one I have to study computer engineering and need to become a CSE graduate.

Why I Want to Become an Engineer:

The main reason is to become a game developer. And then I know the current world is based on technology and information. The person who is strong on these two things has a better opportunity to have a stable career. I think this time is so revolutionary for computer engineers.

And it’s the perfect time to invest effort here. My plan and dream are really exciting for me. I am sure that this industry is my passion. And I enjoy spending time with the computer. I can spend all day long learning new things related to programming and others.

I have a pretty good preparation for this dream. I have shared my future plan with my parents. They are really supportive with this. Even my father is an IT officer. I planned to get myself admitted into a university after 12th.

I have plans to take part in the admission test for government universities. If I don’t get a chance there, I will be admitted to a private university and complete my CSE graduation from there. I am confident enough that I will get a chance at a good university.

Right now, I am focusing on my current study. And I’m also learning different things related to computers. I’m planning to join an online course where I will learn Java Programming slowly.

What Will I Do After Being an Engineer:

After completing my degree I have a plan to start my own gaming company. I will hire some similar minded people or take them as partners. It will depend on the condition at that time. But I will try my best to do some jobs before starting my own company. Starting a company is the biggest goal for me.

That’s all about my dream to become an Engineer. I am hopeful that I will be one someday and my dream will come true. I am very honest about my dreams and I am working very hard to achieve it.

Essay on My Dream in 600 Words

Essay on My Dream in 600 Words

Introduction:

A dream is a thing that keeps us focused and dedicated to our life. We all need to have a very specific dream to reach. Without a proper aim or dream, we can’t succeed in the end. Your dream will help you mentally and make you strong inside. Without any dream or desire, it will be hard to reach a goal. That’s why everyone gets a goal in their life, so do I. Today I am going to talk about my dream to become a teacher here.

My Dream to Become a Teacher:

Different people have different types of dreams and I want to become a teacher in the future. Yes, that’s my dream. My thinking was always different. I wanted to do something productive in my life. The stage that I am at right now is not that challenging.

I am a student and I have to study properly. But to run behind a goal or dream could be very hard. And I can realize that. From the beginning, I loved to teach the kids.

And finally, I found that is my passion. It will be great if I can become a teacher. People might dream to become a college professor or university teacher, but I prefer to become a very normal school teacher.

I love a very easy and normal lifestyle. I want to spend the rest of my life living in a calm and naturally beautiful place, teaching lots of kids and students. And I am working hard to make my dream come true.

Why I Want to Become a Teacher:

There are so many reasons behind this dream. The first thing that I can mention is I love teaching. That’s the biggest reason. When I shared my passion with my parents, they were amazingly supportive. They told me to follow my passion and my dream.

And then I got a huge boost in my desire. There are some other reasons to become a teacher. I love to live a very simple life. And I know a teacher is a person who can live a very simple life.

I want to make a difference in our education system. As you know our education system is not great. I want to fix that. It is a hard part, but that’s my ultimate goal in my life. I want to bring some changes to the system of teaching style.

I think this profession has pretty good job security and a good income too. And another thing that I forgot to mention is fun and excitement every day. There are new things every day and that’s a huge thing for me.

My Preparation for My Dream:

As I want to become a teacher, I need preparation for sure. And yes, I am preparing myself for this. Right now I am a student and I need to focus on my education first. But in my leisure time, I love to do the teaching.

I have some amazing cousins who come to my home to do maths and learn English. I teach them and I enjoy them a lot. After completing high school, I have my plan to study ‘English Literature’ for higher education.

And that will be my subject in my teaching career. And finally, after being a teacher I will join a govt school and will serve the unprivileged kids. I have a dream to start my own school too for the street kids.

Overall I am very serious and focused on my dream. I want to make my dream true. And I am working on it. I know teaching is a noble profession and teachers are the main person who leads the nation from the front.

Walmart: Discounting the American Dream

How it works

Walmart is a giant in the retail world and kinda represents American consumerism and capitalism. Sam Walton started it back in 1962, and now it’s the biggest retailer around. They’ve been super successful by selling stuff cheaply to tons of people. But it makes you wonder: does Walmart really support the American Dream, or does it mess it up?

The American Dream is about making it big, doing well, and moving up in life. It’s the idea that anyone can get financial stability and be happy if they work hard.

Walmart seems to back this up by creating jobs and selling affordable goods. But when you dig deeper, things get a bit murky and even contradictory.

  • 1 Economic Impact and Job Creation
  • 2 Consumer Culture and the Pursuit of Happiness
  • 3 Corporate Responsibility and Ethical Considerations
  • 4 Conclusion

Economic Impact and Job Creation

At first glance, Walmart seems like a big help to the economy. They employ over two million people worldwide, most of them in the U.S. These jobs mean money for families and a boost to local economies. Plus, their low prices help people, especially those with low income, to save money.

But the jobs at Walmart aren’t always great. A lot of workers are part-time, get low pay, and don’t have much chance to move up. Critics say that this keeps people stuck in low-wage jobs, making it hard to get financial stability or move up the social ladder. So, in a way, Walmart’s version of the American Dream might be more of an illusion.

And then there’s the impact on local businesses. Walmart can sell stuff cheaper than the little guys, which often pushes those smaller stores out of business. This means fewer jobs locally and less variety in the market. It can kill the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation, which are key parts of the American Dream.

Consumer Culture and the Pursuit of Happiness

Walmart’s whole deal is offering “Everyday Low Prices.” This shapes how people think about value and shopping. The focus on cheap stuff can lead to a culture where people buy a lot of things, maybe more than they need, valuing quantity over quality.

This consumer culture can clash with the deeper values of the American Dream, like personal fulfillment and meaningful success. Chasing after material goods can feel empty, always looking for the next deal instead of finding real happiness. This shift can take away from the overall well-being that the American Dream is supposed to offer.

Corporate Responsibility and Ethical Considerations

Walmart’s way of doing business has raised some ethical eyebrows too. They’ve been accused of poor working conditions, low pay, and being anti-union. These issues not only affect their workers but also make you question if they really care about fairness and justice, which are core to the American Dream.

Their global supply chain has its own set of problems. There have been reports of sweatshops, child labor, and exploitation in factories making products for Walmart. These practices keep prices low but make you wonder about the real cost of these cheap goods.

Environmental issues are another biggie. Walmart’s massive operations and focus on low-cost products can harm the environment. From getting raw materials to throwing away cheap, disposable items, their impact is huge. This goes against the idea of a sustainable and prosperous future, which is a big part of the American Dream.

You can’t deny Walmart’s impact on American society. They provide cheap goods and create jobs, making them a big player in the economy. But when you look closer, their business practices might be messing with the very principles of the American Dream.

The low wages, limited chances for moving up, the hit to local businesses, the push for overconsumption, and the ethical and environmental issues all paint a complicated picture. While Walmart helps many Americans save money, it also keeps some big problems alive that hold back the broader American Dream.

In the end, Walmart’s effect on the American Dream is complex and needs a careful look. It makes us rethink what prosperity and success really mean and how to balance economic growth, ethical practices, and true personal fulfillment. Only by tackling these issues can we hope to achieve a more fair and lasting American Dream.

Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University

Level One - Complete: Reflecting on the first year of my MBA journey

my dream business essay

I embarked on a journey to the Fisher College of Business with excitement and a hint of nervousness. I carried hopes, dreams, and a desire to conquer what I knew would be a daunting challenge—earning my MBA. I was well aware of the academic rigor, but the personal and professional growth opportunities that awaited me were equally thrilling and, as I would come to realize, transformative.

The first year of my MBA experience was as challenging as it was rewarding. It pushed me to step out of my comfort zone in ways I had never anticipated. From mastering new business concepts and analytical frameworks to collaborating with brilliant minds from around the world, the learning curve was steep but incredibly fulfilling. The MBA program not only shaped me into a more competent professional but also imparted invaluable life lessons that will stay with me forever.

Looking back, it’s clear that the rigorous coursework was just one part of the equation. The interactions with my diverse cohort enriched my experience far beyond the academic realm. Every group project, classroom discussion, and case study gave me new perspectives, thanks to the multicultural backgrounds of my peers. We didn’t just exchange ideas about business; we shared our cultures, our stories, and in doing so, created bonds that will last a lifetime.

Coming from a different country, I initially wondered how I would fit in, but soon I realized that being different was my strength. Fisher College's emphasis on diversity and inclusion provided the perfect platform for me to share my own culture while learning about others. Every day was a cultural exchange—from tasting foods I'd never tried before to celebrating festivals I hadn't heard of until then. These experiences helped me develop a global mindset, an essential skill in today’s interconnected world.

The culmination of my first-year journey came with an unforgettable summer internship at Google, where I worked as a product manager. I worked alongside some of the sharpest professionals in the industry, and the skills I gained—from strategic thinking to product development—were invaluable. This internship not only enhanced my business acumen but also solidified my passion for tech and innovation. I walked away from that summer more confident in my abilities and clearer about the path I want to take in my career.

As I now approach the second year of my MBA, I feel a renewed sense of energy and focus. The foundation has been laid, and I’m eager to build upon it. My goal is to contribute even more to my cohort, my school, and the broader community. Whether it’s through leadership in student organizations, mentoring new students, or driving change through academic projects, I want to leave a meaningful impact on Fisher College and the people I’ve come to know and respect.

I am incredibly grateful for the experiences I’ve had so far and the people who have been part of this journey. Fisher College of Business has become a home away from home, and I look forward to what lies ahead. As I continue to navigate this path, I do so with a sense of purpose and excitement, knowing that the best is yet to come.

To anyone considering this path, take the leap! The journey is demanding but incredibly rewarding. You will not only emerge as a better professional but as a person enriched by the experiences, cultures, and friendships you’ll encounter along the way.
